Get your bake on with this low carb and PCOS-friendly cookie recipe!

It is holiday season and you know what that means! Time for baking!

Making cookies for the holidays is such a nice tradition, it brings people together. There is always a lot of smiles, laughter, and fun in the kitchen during this time of year. And who can beat warming up your house with heat from the oven that smells like pure heaven?! I can’t wait to bake with my son this year! I’m in the process of making him a knockoff “learning tower” so he can get in on the action. Thank you, Pinterest! I know he will enjoy making a mess in the kitchen and, of course, sampling the goodies.

I know what you must be thinking, I can’t believe she is talking about making cookies. That isn’t really healthy. Well, you know what? Life is about balance and making smart choices every day. So yes, it is okay to indulge, you just need to be wise about it. One of the ways to have your treats and eat them too is to select recipes that are healthier versions of your favorite classics.

With so many different types of cookies and the plethora of PCOS-friendly reworked versions available online, the possibilities are endless. It was hard to pick one recipe. Ultimately, I decided on a cookie that I always enjoy which is the Raspberry Thumbprint. It is traditional, delicious and always a crowd pleaser.

I will be using this recipe from the blog Low Carb Yum. This cookie is not only low carb but also gluten free! Even sweeter is the calorie count: one cookie is only 85 calories. Score!! I hope you try these cookies out and enjoy them with your loved ones.

What cookies are on your must-bake list? Let me know and leave a link to the recipe. I am always looking to add to my list! :)
