5 Podcasts to Improve Your PCOS and Overall Health
Short on time but want to be in the know with the latest health information? Then podcasts are your answer!
I’m a huge fan of podcasts because I can easily listen to them while I go for a walk with my son, when I work out, driving, or doing other chores around the house. Being able to multi-task is the name of my game! There are so many riveting podcasts out there, the sky is the limit! But my focus is on podcasts that I think would be beneficial for improving your PCOS and overall health.
Here are my top choices. Check them out and let me know what you think or if you have any others that I should be listening to.
1. Well- Fed Women:
Noelle Tar and Stefani Ruper are all about empowering women to feel their best. They will tell you the truth about health, nutrition, fitness, mindset, and body image. They don’t think you need to have washboard abs to be considered beautiful and healthy. Amen!! Both women have overcome their health obstacles (Stefani has PCOS) and have found solutions that work. They have been in your shoes and understand it.
A new episode comes out every Tuesday and they currently have over 180 podcasts (so there are plenty to choose from). Episodes are a little on the longer side, they average about over an hour, but they cover a lot of ground in that time. They also take questions from listeners, so if you have a burning question, submit it.
2. Harder to Kill:
Steph Gaudreau of Stupid Easy Paleo is in her third season and has over 120 episodes to peruse. She has excellent guest interviews including conversations with Dr. Mariza Snyder, Dr. Jolene Brighten, Laura Schoenfeld, Chris Kresser, and Dr. Laura Briden to just highlight a few. Steph brings in experts who will share their secrets with you, so you can apply their principles to your life.
Topics covered are related to fitness, nutrition, sleep, and mindset. She believes health should be a multi-faceted, holistic approach. New episodes are released on Mondays and Thursdays. The episodes on Mondays are when she does guest interviews. These episodes are longer, averaging over an hour. Thursdays’ episodes are titled Fierce Love Fridays and they are a quick 20 minutes.
On Fierce Love Fridays, Steph chooses a topic and talks about her feelings and thoughts surrounding it. These episodes are raw and unscripted. If you want to get your feet wet, start with one of the Fierce Love Friday episodes.
3. The mindbodygreen podcast:
If you are a fan of the blog mindbodygreen, then you will love their podcast. They always have leaders in the health and wellness world sharing insights and tips about how you can transform your health. They focus on people’s stories and wellness journeys and how they got to where they are today. It is an inspiring and motivational listen.
Episodes range in length and come out every Monday. What I like about this podcast is that it is more conversational because it isn’t scripted. They just let the conversation flow and those can be the best interviews because the answers aren’t canned and guests tend to be more forthcoming.

4. The Health Mindset Podcast with Andrea Hanson:
Andrea Hanson has had her own battles with health, so she is someone again who gets it. This podcast is focused on mindset. Andrea explains how your mindset and goals coexist. Having a strong and positive mindset is so critical when it comes to managing your PCOS, that is why I think this podcast is helpful.
The episodes are short, so they are good for those who are limited in time. Andrea hasn’t done any episodes in quite some time, but I thought the episodes she did were on point and worthwhile for you to check out. Everything she talks about, she has tried, tested, and implemented in her own life. She walks the walk. If you are having trouble reaching your goals, your mindset probably needs a tune-up. Definitely check this one out!
5. PCOS and Food Peace with Julie Duffy Dillion and Kimmie Singh:
This podcast is hot off the presses! It is brand new and will be coming out this September. You can bet that I will be tuning in! Obviously, I can’t give you too many details but here is what I do know…The PCOS and Food Peace Podcast is focusing on women affected by PCOS and their personal stories. Julie and Kimmie want you to feel heard and not alone. Here is a little background on your hosts Julie and Kimmie. Julie is a Registered Dietitian with a focus on disordered eating and women’s health. Kimmie is a soon-to-be dietitian. I am looking forward to learning more about them and their style of interviewing and get to hear more fabulous women’s stories.
I hope you get the chance to check out these 5 amazing podcasts. If you don’t have time for all of them, pick out some topics that are of interest to you and listen to episodes about those topics. That is a terrific way to get started and before you know it, you will be hooked!
